The Beacon within Darkness

First off thank you to LadyChuckAButler for the title, which may or may not have inspired the main plot

OK so let's just assume that Ruby and the gang graduated without destroying Beacon or changing the world irrevocably(although they did foil whatever Torchwick is planning).
Five years after and our favorite  have split up and went their own ways. Well Mostly. Sun, Pyrrha and Yang all (surprisingly) became teachers at Beacon. Pyrra Teaches those gifted with the power of Semblance to enhance their ability and control it. Yang instructs young Hunters and Huntresses in the art of Killing Grimm, and is also responsible for the discovery that the Grimm have a 5cm square Sweet-spot that will kill them instantly if it's hit. And Sun well he's the school's leading authority on anything Faunus, he also teaches History.

The Hunters and Huntresses seem to be winning their war with the Grimm but what they don't know and will never see coming is slowly sneaking up on them from behind. The Grimm are forming an army lead by well something intelligent. (actually it's a Faunus Grimm but just forget you ever read that)

Bio : Lana is constantly targetted at Beacon for being a faunus. Learning to rely on nobody but herself, Lana leads a life as far from people as she can, meaning tnat she sits away from everyone in class, sits by herself at lunch and generally spends her free time in the library.
Misc : Despite the picture, she has no tail. She is very acrobatic and agile. She is also one of the fastest runners in Beacon.

Yuma looked through the large glass window of the airship that was taking him and numerous other new students to Beacon.
He turned and returned to his seat only to find it taken but a red haired girl.
"Um...excuse me but that's my seat." He said trieing to to be rude.

Lana looked up, suprised and slightly frightened, "S-sorry!" She said, standing up, "I didn't see anyone sitting here and I haven't found other free seats, so I just sat down, I didn't know you were sitting here. Honest."

"It's fine," he said.

"Um..." Lana hesitated, "I'm Lana, Lana Highcross. There are rarely any Faunus these days..."

"Yuma, Yuma K-night," he said, his ears twitching involuntarily.

"So, uh...what do you specialize in?" Lana asked, "I'm decent enough with a multi-blade"

"bit of everything," he said gesturing at the Katana strapped to his belt.

"Cool..." Lana said, "Uh...seat?"

"yeah, sure." he said, taking a seat.

Lana took a seat beside him, "I can't wait much longer" She sighed, "Why does it take so long to arrive at Beacon?"

"I don't know? It shouldn't be much longer." he said looking at the clock.

"I hope so" Lana said, "I hope it's everything it's made out to be"

The airship began to loos altitude and beacon came into sight.

Lana practically threw herelf against the window the momemt she felt the airship descend, "We're here! Oh by all I hold sacred, we're here!"

"not a fan of air travel?" Yuma questioned.

"I dislike being in airships, but I can tolerate them to an extent" Lana confessed, "But that's only part the reason I'm excited to get off of this airship is because of Beacon itself"

"Ya got a point." he said.

we request that all passengers to please take a seat and farson (can't spell) your seat-belts as we will begin landing shortly.
"Finally," Yuma said, clipping in her seat-belt.

"Nearly there now" Lana said, putting her seat belt on, "We're so close to Beacon now"

The air ship landed and the students disbarment excited to be at their new school. Well all but one.
A slightly built boy with rusty red hair came running off the airship and made a bee line for the nearest rubbish bin.
"There's one every year," said a wild haired blond woman.
The red head next to her chuckled, "it appears so."
"Come on you two we have lessons to plan. New students means new minds and new minds seek knowledge." Said the blond man next to the red head.
The two women only laughed, No one would have ever dared bet that the once infamous Sun Wukong would in some years become a perfectly respectable teacher at beacon. Nor would they dear consider him looking socially respectable. Well all but one that is. She had changed him, for the better.
